Fall Learning Session and AGM on Tuesday, September 25th
Impressive Speakers, Learning Opportunities, Lunch, and Networking
Join us for another great opportunity to learn and network at this years Fall Learning Session and Annual General Meeting (AGM). This event has always been popular with sell-out attendance each year.
This event is open to the public.
This year, we will start our day a little earlier to give our guests the opportunity to return to their busy work schedules after a terrific lunch and some networking. The morning will consist of breakfast coffee and danishes, 3 presentations and a quick Annual General Meeting (AGM) for our members (all guests are welcome to remain seated for this portion of the event). Following our AGM, we will all enjoy a delicious lunch.
Our speaker line-up is shown below:

Tammy Smith from OGL - Tammy will provide an overview of the aerial survey industry with a Western Canadian perspective. Over the past ~15 years, the aerial survey industry has become commoditized, and in the past ~5 years there has been a surge in the use of drones and satellite imagery. This presentation will cover what these developments have meant for the industry, and how new emerging technologies are changing the industry. Tammy is the CEO of OGL Engineering. Her background includes technical, operations management & business development roles. She is registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA and holds a B.Sc. in Geomatics Engineering from The University of Calgary's Schulich School of Engineering.
As mentioned, all our guests are welcome to stay for the AGM portion of the morning. However, only our members will be involved with the intricacies of the AGM (voting, etc). Our Annual General Meeting will surmise the past year's activities and exciting new initiatives for the upcoming year in support of the AGG mission. Only 15 minutes will be required for the AGM.
