AGG SCHOLARSHIPS

Did you know your membership with the Alberta Geomatics Group helps provide scholarships to students in Geomatics programs annually?  This AGG initiative is of utmost importance to the association.  Through the Calgary Foundation, an organization that is 60 years strong, the AGG supports Geomatics education and students.  The AGG is proud to support our local communities, our students, and provide not only community events and networking opportunities, but the financial assistance needed for education.

We are pleased to announce our 2015/16 academic year scholarship recipients:

Maxwell Tougas, SAIT, School of Construction; and
Raelyn Marguerite Sullivan, U of C, Schulich School of Engineering

“Thank you so much for your support. Your gift shows me that dedication and hard work is appreciated and rewarded, and it has aided in giving me the unique opportunity to complete a semester of my studies in Oslo, Norway. I have obtained so many valuable experiences living in such a unique country and culture all while continuing my studies in a dual degree in Geomatics Engineering and Astrophysics. Awards such as this have helped me enormously towards achieving these goals and thus I am unendingly grateful.”
-      Raelyn Marguerite Sullivan

Future Geomatics students, please apply for our scholarship at the Calgary Foundation by accessing http://www.calgaryfoundation.org/.
